The podcast is the one medium on Renewable Energy World that I am able to consume on a regular basis. It's hard to make time to look through all the blogs, news articles, newsletters, etc. I get too much screen time as it is. The podcast, on the other hand, makes commutes or work-outs more interesting and productive.

You're losing a regular "reader," though not by choice. I hope you'll choose to launch a new podcast soon.

Thanks, -John

Stephen's one of the best in our business, and though he's leaving REW, I'm heartened to know his brilliant work continues. All the best, Stephen. Looking forward to keeping up with you in your new work.

Agree with John. I have listened to the podcasts on a regular basis on many a metro commute and/or car ride. It's nice to have everything summarized and condensed in one easily accessible format.

The podcast was a great way to keep up to date on industry news and hear relevant interviews. Hope you continue it.

Disappointed doesn't quite cover how I feel about this news. I hope REW will pick up with another one soon. As I drive quite a bit for my job, I always look forward to downloading the podcast and listening to it weekly.

Best of luck to you, Stephen. Thank you for your excellent work. The podcast has had excellent content and high production value. You make it seem easy.

I'm sorry to see Stephen go. His podcasts have been fantastic, and I have really gained a lot of perspective from his work. This will certainly leave a void in my educational routine.

Does anyone know of a similar renewable energy podcast of good quality? I'm interested to keep my education going, and podcasts are about the only way to do this on my bike ride to work.

Thank you all so much. I can't tell you how much it means to me and REW to have such a dedicated following of listeners. As I mentioned in the podcast, the show evolved in style and substance because of constant input from our audience. There's nothing more fulfilling than that.

@Cott -- there are a couple clean energy podcasts out there, but they have a different approach. The two best are the "Energy Priorities" podcast from Energy Priorities magazine and the Bloomberg New Energy Finance podcast.

While change is the biggest constant in the RE biz, this is quite the bummer! REW podcast has been consistently insightful, informative, creative, and straight-forward. The industry loses a real resource with the retirement of your podcast in this format and venue, but we'll most definitely be following your work Stephen.

Stephen, congratulations on your new position! We'll all miss you out here in podcast land. Your show has been the perfect little bit of inspiration while sitting in traffic or riding the train for the past few years. For everyone else looking for something to fill the void might I suggest The Commonwealth Club of California's "Climate One" Podcast. Less industry focused than Inside RE but still a good fit for those interested in the market side of climate change.

I'm also sad to see the podcasts go for same reasons already mentioned. There is no alternative RE podcast out there that gives the story beyond the headlines. My commutes and jogs will be never be the same! Best of luck Stephen and perhaps consider a return to podcasting in the future!

Because of failing eyesight I was dependant on the podcasts to keep me infomed:

While I wish Stephen all the very best I can only cringe at the short sightedness of those who wish to bring these wonderful podcasts to an end:

I guess this is a decision which mirrors the short sightedness of our poloticians, but it is also something which we have come to accept from those who should know better yet just go on crashing into walls:

I guess the time has finally come for me to cancel my subscription:
