Peterborough, New Hampshire [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Americans who belong to automobile clubs like AAA may be surprised to know that their membership fees don't always go toward the services advertised. Instead, many auto clubs use some of that money to lobby against stricter emissions standards, higher fuel economy standards and, in some cases, bicycle lanes. Mitch Rofsky, President of the Better World Club, joins us to talk about how his company is competing with other auto clubs through a mix of activism and greener alternative services.

kathleen-rolinson-30788 July 6, 2007 I'd love to know how we can find out what causes AAA is supporting... anyone have references for that. They're my auto club and insurance provider - I give them quite a bit of money each month and don't want to think its going against causes I support.

john-behanna-p-e-54869 July 7, 2007 Rankine cycle engines have been around for a long time and have many desirable attributes, particularly when used in CHP (combined heat/power) installations. It's just another venue to be developed to see what it produces.
