If we have any creative biological engineers out there a waste to fuel system for human, kitchen, plant etc material turned into a home cooking gas maybe worth persuing.

Gary,
Thanks for the comment. There are lots of small-scale digesters that do exactly what you describe. The only one I've seen first-hand was at a girls' orphanage in Madagascar: The latrines had been designed to run down into a small, simple digester. You could tell the amount of gas available (roughly) depending on how high the tank was floating. A tube came off the top of the tank and went directly over to the kitchen where they cooked off of the gas. Talk about a closed loop system!

Meredith Sorenson sounds Danish to me.
I recall seeing a while ago a professor in India took an old inner tube and stuffed it with waste and organic material. The ends were sealed then it was set out in the sun to let the digestion begin. The resulting gas was fed directly into the families cook stove via a plastic tube. Cool!

AS mentioned earlier in part 2 this is an excellent idea , we in India do not make use of the waste in our cities and towns a good idea t push it forward. We generate lot of waste , and many of our people are energy deprived with huge demand supply gap of 12%.
