December 7, 2011 - BUSINESS WIRE -- Thin-film solar cell maker Soltecture produced its first 100W copper/indium/gallium/selenide (CIGS) solar modules at the production line in Berlin Adelsdorf. The modules have 13.4% power conversion efficiency and will be sold as the Linion line.

Soltecture is on track to hit 14% module efficiency, said Nikolaus Meyer, CEO and founder, by mid-2012 at the latest. Meyer notes that 16% efficiency is in sight with manufacturing process optimization. "The concrete projects needed to reach a 16% goal have already been tackled and drafted."

The Adelsdorf location also has been officially ISO 9001 certified by DQS, and the modules are branded "Made in Germany" as well.
