'In the past year and a half, the China Development Bank has offered more than $34 billion in credit lines to China's solar companies. China is not alone: To strengthen their countries' competitiveness, governments around the world are providing strong support to their clean energy industries.'

Not to worry folks. The USA has all this under control. Don't ya'll worry none. While other countries foolishly invest heavily in renewable energy the USA has decided that we will keep investing trillions (mostly borrowed with interest) in 800+ military bases around the world so that we can ensure a steady supply of all OUR crude oil that just happens to be under some other countries soil.

And great news. Our Nobel Peace Prize winning president just deployed thousands of paid mercenaries to Australia to 'project our power'. Can't have those nasty Chinese invading Australia and putting up any of the billions of solar panels they produce. I'm sure China is now quaking in their boots.Laughing hysterically most likely. All the way to the Bank of China. A Communist bank I might add.

No don't worry. As your choking on coal smoke and glowing from a nuke meltdown, and trading what few possessions you still have left to fuel your Escalade and heat your McMansion, just take joy in the fact that if and when the Somalian air force launches their fleet of armed bi planes against Kansas City our $300 million F35 fighters and billion dollar B1's will protect you. That is if we can keep them serviced once China decides to stop delivering spare parts and if that tanker of Jet A makes it in from the latest country we just invaded.

Yes folks we're on our way to freedom and prosperity the likes of which we've never known before all due thanks to our beloved Military Industrial Complex and the Masters of the Universe.

DON'T NEED NO STINKIN RENEWABLES!

The Republicans have their heads up their asses. Their whole show has nothing to do with renewables or the Solyndra loan. It's all about trying to bring down Obama so their can regain their so-called superiority in the government.
Why, oh why, are there still so many white trash in this country?

Can the Solyndra patents be sold to China? They may take this multi-directional solar absorption technology to a higher level and do it for 1/5th of the cost. Many non-south facing Chinese homes can utilize this particular type of solar collector.
Why let it go to waste just because the US through the existing cumbersome good ol boy financial network and our repressive oil price protection regime. It is a technical advancement that will raise the standard of living for the common man. It should not be allowed to die on the vine.
