Suniva adds BOS components to PV offering

October 12, 2011 - BUSINESS WIRE -- Silicon solar cell maker Suniva Inc. is partnering with high-quality photovoltaic balance of system (BOS) component providers to offer Balance of System Solutions (BOSS), covering inverters, mounting systems, and battery storage.

BOSS Partners:

• Inverter companies SMA and PowerOne (NASDAQ: PWER);
  
• Mounting system providers PanelClaw and Schletter;
  
• Integrated energy storage systems from Silent Power;
• Advanced storage technology from GS Battery (USA) Inc.

The companies are creating pre-engineered photovoltaic systems based around Suniva's high-efficiency monocrystalline modules, powered by ARTisun series solar cells. Pre-integration of BOS components helps reduce installation costs and ensure maximum power-conversion efficiency and reliability. The companies will have custom engineering support for projects that require customization.

Suniva?s BOSS customers can obtain Export-Import Bank financing on the entire system for export deals.
