I appreciate Michael Lamb's analysis. I can't help but think solar development project managers need to join forces to remedy the uncertainty of their suppliers. In the agricultural world loose coalitions of independent farmers form co-ops to satisfy their supply and demand constuents needs for a steady stream. Could solar manufacturers/developers do the same?

The article looses the the transition from the controlled lab environment to the unbalance real world of earth's heat sink ecosystem with man made inefficient equipment trying to produce energy from nature that is not in equilibrium.
