50 Percent Biofuels Now Allowed in Jet Fuel

GreenGas.cc is 50 cents a liter and zero emissions. It is used in jets since 1960. Why are we wasting so much time and news space when the solution is already here? US DOE says 90% of vehicles and fuel sold in 2050 will still be internal combustion. Scientific American says peak 2014. What fuel are you going to use? Harper or Obama will not reply to GreenNH3 If some government or investor does not get behind GreenNH3 you and I are screwed.

Where can I read of the tests that prove the statement, "Bioderived synthetic blending components are identical to hydrocarbons found in jet fuel,". Have they been tested in jets?

I am worried by the effect of biofuel production on the cost of food when biofuels go into full production. In Africa for example, where a lot of people still go hungry but the governments would rather channel the agricultural products into biofuel production, it simply means bad for the population. I think the world needs to think properly about the issue of biofuel production.

The US Navy and Air Force has had an active biofuel program in place for some time now. Solazyme has been supplying biodiesel derived from biomass by cyanobacteria fermentation. Commercial scale production facilities are under construction now(actually, might be completed by this time, I don't know)---initial testing and trials are complete, contract specifications are completed, initial trials are completed, and handling and procedure regulations are being written at this time. Solazyme is supplying fuel for sea trials and shake down cruises, which are currently underway. The Secretary of the Navy, Ray Mabus has announced that the US Navy will be able to deploy an entire carrier task force using biofuels by 2015.

The Air Force has a similar program. The aerobatic team, the Thunderbirds, is operating right now on a 50/50 blend of conventional J8 and camelina oil---a weedy plant that grows well on marginal land and is drought resistant.

Sitting in a line of vehicles fueled with ammonia gas, all idling at a stop light or fast food drive through might be your idea of a good time----but I'm sure that isn't where I'd want to be. Gasoline fumes are bad enough---I sure wouldn't want ammonia added to the mix.
