Excellent. Why not tap Biofuel from Sisal Agave,Agave (Americana) as practiced in Mexico?

I think Willie Nelson has it right. Diesel fuel from sunflower oil. Everyone that can, should grow their own fuel. This is my decision after two years of research into biomass gasification/ high BTU syngas for liquid fuel technology.

What steps is CEPSA takig to ensure that any palm oil it uses does not have a higher greenhouse gas footprint (through deforestation and exposure of Indonesian or Malaysian peat bogs) than the fossil fuel that CEPSA is producing? What sort of LCA has CEPSA published on its biofuel proposals?

Answer, in part, CEPSA's media release states that all the plant oil comes from certified sustainable sources, but does not set out the source of the certification process.
CEPSA does not report any LCA for its biofuel.

I think Biodiesel is the way to go. When will US car and truck makers install appropriate fuel lines hoses and gaskets that can take the higher acid content of Biodiesel. This is holding back the its use. At least I'm not going to pay for the change over to use even B-5. Come on Detroit get your "Head out of your A**" Oh! the government owns GM. Well forget them. Come on Toyota, Honda, etc..

All deisel engines are compatable with biodiesel right now. If you use anything stronger than B-50, you may need to change the computer chip to change the timing. B-50 WORKS GREAT IN A STOCK ENGINE. Buck, you must be confusing ethanol and bio-deisel, and all modern auto engines will take ethanol mix now.

Car makers are going to have to go beyond Viton rings and gaskets...They need to make engines in sizes people want to drive...VW does good with the 2.0L..But Toyota makes a V6 "Hi-Lux" that sells in other countries but not the US....A 3.0 or 3.5L V6 diesel would be awesome...Other than that, it's 5.7 or 6.6, which is too big for a small truck...
