Applied Energy Technologies (AET) will now manufacture its Rayport solar mounting system in Ontario, Canada.

June 24, 2011 - PRNewswire -- Applied Energy Technologies (AET) will now manufacture its Rayport solar mounting system in Ontario, Canada. Rayport is the first of AET's product lineup to launch in Ontario.

Rayport is a stainless series ballasted racking system for commercial roof applications. AET is making the solar racking line in an ISO 9001 certified facility and the product meets Ontario's feed-in-tariff (FIT) and MicroFit domestic content requirements. Because the Rayport mounting systems will be made locally, Canadian customers will be eligible for these government incentives for installing them.

AET believes its racking products are a good fit for Canada's environmentally responsible market, and sees the move as a step into more international markets, said Aaron Faust, VP, business development for AET. AET opened a subsidiary in Canada in February, and Canadian operations began in April 2011, the same month the company opened a new 43,100sq-ft secured manufacturing/warehousing space in Ohio, tripling their US production capacity.
