Because the region is comprised of granite, there may be huge geothermal energy resources two to four miles underground.

Who specifically is conducting the geophysical and gravimetric studies? I would be interested to know if this type of exploration is going to be outsourced to other more refined organizations or if it is going to be handled strictly within the offices of the University of Massachusetts.

"Another, newer method being developed uses solid state energy transfer technology which does not pump water into the ground or rely on fracturing to enhance the rock's permeability."

Where can I find out more about this technology and who is developing it?

concern about leakage of radioactive materials in rock strata with breakage of pipes with geothermal. Bioenergy toatally impractical, will never work on large scale, and should be abandonded. Manhattan project type research on zero point energy field (quantum vacuum energy) must be done as this is best single source of totally nonpolluting, endless energy.
Electric car battery technology invention of high tech battery patent bought out by major auto co. years age should be resurrected using eminent domain existing laws to force auto co.to come clean with this patent for public good.
