We need to add here, in order to complete the picture, that CdTe PV modules also have the unique capability to destroy the environment, for they have not been tested, nor proven safe for use in large scale fields under the harsh desert environment. Cadmium compounds, contained in these modules, will deteriorate and decompose with time, thus producing uncontrolled outgassing and other phenomena that, under the right conditions, could prove detrimental to air, soil, water and life in these areas.

Just imagine 150,000 lbs. Cadmium--6th most dangerous toxic, carcinogenic heavy metal on Earth--spread evenly over several thousand acres US desert land in these 2 projects alone. Then imagine this scenario repeated many times, as planned by the CdTe manufacturers. The Asbestos debacle fades in compearance!

The CdTe manufacturers refuse to discuss the issues, of course. They are too busy pushing the planned projects ahead--before the regulatory gap closes.

Anco - Save your yahoo posts for the meat-helmet crowd. You've already been outed as a quack on that post you placed yesterday on the Ted Turner thing. Crawl back into your fetal position and let the grown-ups talk.
