Maybe it's time the people start to understand that dealing with the big guys isn't worth it or necessary. Be smart enough to work your way around them and install systems that benefit you and not them, the ones you are trying to avoid in the first place.
If 90% of the people want it, what is stopping them from buying it. They only have themselves to blame. Education, not bureaucracy, should hopefully prevail.
