Canada has just deployed a small tidal turbine off the coast of B.C. at a very promising site, practically under a HVAC line. It is expected to produce a few hundred kW and then be replaced with one that will produced several MW.

Please have your audience, and your editors. CAREFULLY
use the words 'tidal', 'ocean' 'stream', and 'current'.

'Tidal power', the way this article is written, leaves one to wonder
if it depends on the RISE and FALL, = TIDE, or, if it is really
about tidal CURRENTS, which seems it is.

'Tidal' is the vertical-only component. 'Current' can be ocean current,
but near shore, becomes tidal current, as the 2-crest/24 hour wave
is thrusted horizonatally wherever the bathymetric cross-section is
restricted, and 'speed' is necessary to do the work within about 6 hours.

'Stream' is a horizontally larger 'area' than the focused 'current'.
Ocean-bouys or devices should be considered as ONLY 'Wave'
devices.

Hope the proper terms help all, used accordingly. One must imagine
the 'crests' by moon-sun gravitational pull as being 'stationary' as the
various dispositions of those crests does not move, but the rotating
Earth simply moves around them.

Best wishes.
