Glad to hear that we are exporting something from these shores, but it sounds like we are missing the boat when it comes to using this particular renewable energy source.

I think this is is stupid. Biomass is an excellent source of renewable energy that we need in the U.S. whether you belive in global warming or energy independence or both. This is using fossil fuels in the U.S. to process wood energy to be consumed in Europe. Oh, by the way, fossil fuels power the transportation to deliver it there as well. There is nothing standing between us (U.S.) and more biomass-to-energy other than us. Biomass to energy plants have high availabilities, the energy produced is cheaper than either solar or wind, and projects produce sustainable jobs. Plus we should be leading the technology and the jobs that creates as well. I'm starting to feel part of an underdeveloped nation where natural resources are exploited by more developed nations.

If it were cheaper to use it here we would. Besides the green people don't want the Carbon that it causes hanging around in our own backyards. Maybe we could Partner with some Climate Planning type or use Best Practices for a Sustainable Youth Outreach Water Planet Alliance, Environmental Working Group with Sustainable Policies like More Green Moms Dot Com to help the Children of the California Air Resources Board figure out the Europe Carbon disparity.
