Recurrent Finances 5-MW PV Project

Published: July 30, 2010

The solar PV development company Recurrent Energy has been making some big project announcements lately. The developer said yesterday that it had raised $18 million in debt for a 5-MW PV system in San Francisco.

Recurrent, which installs “distributed wholesale generation” in the range of 5-20 MW, now has the third-largest development portfolio in North America.

The solar power system located atop the Sunset Reservoir, San Francisco’s largest water reservoir, will be one of the largest municipal solar power systems in the United States and will more than triple San Francisco’s total municipal solar energy output. The solar power system is expected to be fully operational by early Fall of 2010.

To hear more about Recurrent's business strategy, see the interview below.
