Hawaiians could use their largest resource sugar cane for ethanol and limit the importation of oil and gas. They should imitate the Brazilians, just like the Philippines and Cubans should.
The Hawaiians do not have the large corn lobby sabotaging all efforts-sugar cane or switchgrass as substitutes for the outright purchase of surplus corn produced in the MidWest.
This funding saves the local equipment distributors and most likely half the banks in the Midwest, but someone needs to move forward. For one thing, the Canadians and Americans have enough oil and gas to keep energy prices lower.

Hawaii is blazing a path for others to follow!

I wonder this wind power company Kahuku Wind Power, will they after getting monies from the government sell power at a lower cost then everyone else?

If they are going to sell power, they should use their own money or get money from private investors. This levels the playing field for competitors who do not have access to government guaranteed loans.

Electric Energy Store is making 100-mega watt MAFG Reactor in Hawaii and we will be making over 550 jobs with or without government assistance.

Electric Energy Store will be offering to 1000 plus commercial businesses of all types in Hawaii a 50% reduction in the power bill. We will offer this 50% savings for 15 to 25 years on PPA to these businesses. Our Equipment does not have fluctuations in power output caused by changes in wind levels or solar output.
It power is constant on demand and requires no storage devices.

Our equipment located where power is consumed. The excess power is pushed on the grid using existing power lines. This is the first low cost solution that specifically addresses Title XIII of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, specifically addressing grid security by offering the capability of complete grid independence. The Company is setting new standards for a more efficient green energy future!
