Thanks for the post, i guess solar energy will be the next big thing in the energy production as sun is in abundance in energy but we have to learn and have a specific technology to harness its energy

I have been thinking for years ahout the fresnel as a focusing tool to superheat rather than using large arrays of reflectors taking up large land areas , A Fresnel lens whilst tracking the sun can generate vast temperatures . Companies in US have developed a stirling engine running off parabolic reflection genearating electricity without an intermediate need for steam or other fuels ,resources .I believe fresnel concentrated solar is great for water heating which saves on electricity ,but why is it not possible to use it in both modes .can some expert explain the pros and cons .. of each.
