The solar systems funded under the agreement are expected to be installed in 2010 and 2011 in at least five states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Massachusetts, and New Jersey.

What took so long to figure it out? Hellooooo PPAs & solar leases has been the answer for years. Wake up & smell the solar brewed coffee solar companies.

Leases are not a good deal for the consumer. Leases add four years minimum to the ROI (return on investment) so the system never really pays off if the consumer stays in their home for the average ten years.

The convoluted tax equity structure is great for the lawyers and corporations that acquire the tax equity, but not so great for renewable energy. The direct IRS grant delivers much more of the benefit to the developer and not the middlemen, at now additional cost to US taxpayers. Please support direct tax grant.
