Photon Energy is preparing to commence construction on a number of photovoltaic projects in the Czech Republic and Slovakia representing close to 32 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity scheduled for completion in 2010.

The projects include:

  • a 1.5-MW power plant near Kladno in the Central Bohemian region
  • a 580-kilowatt (kW) power plant near Jaromìø in the Hradec Králové region
  • a 2.031-MW and 495 kW power plants near Èeské Budìjovice in the South Bohemian region
  • a 1-MW and 1.65-MW power plants in Dolní Dvoøištì in the South Bohemian region
  • a 2.35-MW project near Humpolec in the Vysoèina region
  • Three 999-kW power plants in the Babina and Hrušov municipalities in Slovakia.

The main technologies that will be used across these projects comprise of string inverters from SMA, central inverters from Advanced Energy, and poly- and mono-crystalline solar panels from Yingli Solar, Tianwei New Energy and Aide Solar, among others.
