Statkraft Opens 3.3-MW Solar Plant in Italy

Rome, Italy [RenewableEnergyWorld.com] Norwegian power generator Statkraft this week opened its first solar power plant in Aprilia, Italy. The Casale plant has a total installed capacity of 3.3 megawatt (MW) and is expected to have an annual power production of 4.5 gigawatt-hours.
Siemens will also be responsible for operation and maintenance for the first five years.
Statkraft has also signed an exclusive framework agreement with Siemens Energy to build up to 40 MW of new solar power capacity in Italy during 2010. The agreement covers Statkraft’s project pipeline in Italy and construction of the next solar plant is expected to commence in spring 2010. As Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) contractor, Siemens will handle engineering, project management and turnkey construction of the photovoltaic plants. Siemens will also be responsible for operation and maintenance for the first five years. “Siemens Energy is a highly competent partner, securing our ability to build several solar parks in parallel and reach the target of commissioning new solar parks before the end of 2010. The time schedule is of great importance, due to the uncertainty regarding future support schemes for solar power,” said Olav Hetland, senior vice president solar power in Statkraft.

What will be the individual inverter rating and their make.
The expected power production of 4.5 GWh in a year is good. How about the production after the 10th year and up to the 25 years life.
Could we have a look on the picture of this giant pollution free power production plant.What is the land area covered.Could there be any usage of land covered by the large size PV modules (What Power rating is the single module).Are these c-Si or thin film.
