When a major failure occurred at one of Canada's largest hydro plants, BC Hydro's objective was to get the machine back on line as quickly as possible.

I love watching old Model T Fords run. The same with these ancient water turbines. But these things as with an old Ford, should not be depended on for regular full service. Their science is ancient and their efficiency is terrible.
