Interesting article - howeve, I struggle to understand how you come up with "This figure represents an additional $18 million annual revenue for a typical 75 MW wind farm"? is that really per annum?
many thanks for clarification.

It seems odd that Catch the Wind's product reports a 12.3% increase in energy production by simply anticipating and reacting to wind conditions while the LM Glasfiber development reports only a 5% increase if longer blades are employed. These sound like identical technologies implemented in two different ways. Why is one seeing such a profound improvement?

If this technology proves to be viable, an increase of 12% efficiency could go along way for the wind industry. As fossil fuel prices go up (and they will), it's technologies like these, no matter how big or small, that will make wind competitive in the market. What really matters is the government continues to support and further extent in developing cleaner, more efficient means of domestic energy production.
