The implications of the Cape Wind project means a great deal to the United States. As countries all around Europe have already installed many offshore wind farms, the United State has yet to really get any of its own projects in the water. No doubt, this project not only means big things for the communities near the project, but can serve as an example for future projects.

Cape Wind's 4/10/10 press release stated they have an "agreement" with Siemens to purchase their 3.6 MW wind turbines conditioned upon their obtaining financing for their project. The Cape Wind press release is coincident with Siemens arranged shipment of their offshore 3.6 MW monopiles from China to the UK Gabbard wind project.

Our federal stimulus Cape Wind is eyeing will go to Germany and China if this project is constructed. Cape Wind will never be operational by 2012 end. But, they'll represent they will be to obtain "stimulus" funding.

And now offshore wind turbines are reported as sinking and shifting.

"Everybody in the industry has this problem so all of us are interested in solving it," a spokesman for Dong Energy said. "This shows this is a young industry and there are experiences to learn from."
