Arizona Corporation Commission Approves APS' AZ Sun Solar Program

Until the time that the costs of the first 50 MW of the AZ Sun program are recovered in base rates, the costs will be recovered through the existing Renewable Energy Surcharge.

This is really good news. Arizona is one of the most sunny places [if not the sunniest] in the U.S. Over 300 days of sunshine every year means megawatts of power of everyone.

I hope many of the plants are Photovoltaic, Sterling or Concentrating Solar Plants that use treated waste water. If we do that we should build a hundred of them.
