OPDE Plans 45-MW of Solar in Mexico

Durango, Mexico [RenewableEnergyWorld.com] The Governor of the State of Durango, Mexico Ismael Hernández Deras, and representatives of the Board of OPDE have signed a collaboration agreement under which the Spanish solar photovoltaic developer has committed to study, plan, build and launch 45 megawatts (MW) of solar projects between now and 2013.
Durango is one of the 32 federal states of the Republic of Mexico.
The first 1 MW photovoltaic solar farms that OPDE will build in the area will be located in the Logistics and Industrial Park in Durango (CLIP) and will be fully operational in 2010. Durango is one of the 32 federal states of the Republic of Mexico. It is located north of the country and has a population of 1.5 million inhabitants. |
