Trina & Invictus Open 40-MW Rooftop PV System

Changzhou, China [RenewableEnergyWorld.com] Trina Solar announced the opening of the largest rooftop solar system in Europe with a capacity of 40 megawatts (MW). The rooftop solar system was built for global logistics service provider Katoen Natie at its headquarters in Antwerp, Belgium.
In the current fourth quarter of 2009, Trina Solar has entered into a new sales agreement to supply approximately 8 megawatts (MW) of PV modules at predetermined prices to the Chinese domestic market.
The installation was completed with solar modules supplied by Trina Solar under a previously announced sales agreement between the Trina and Invictus NV, a Belgian company, partner of the Benelux TEC Servicegroup. "We were very pleased to partner with Invictus on the successful installation of the largest rooftop solar system in Europe," said Arturo Herrero, vice-president of special key accounts for Trina Solar. "We are delighted that Trina Solar's modules were selected for this landmark achievement by our customer Invictus, with whom we are working closely in Belgium as well as in other European countries as PV installations continue to expand in the region." Earlier this month, Trina announced that it had made PV module sales in the Chinese domestic photovoltaic (PV) market. In the current fourth quarter of 2009, Trina Solar has entered into a new sales agreement to supply approximately 8 megawatts (MW) of PV modules at predetermined prices to the Chinese domestic market.
