I wonder if metal oils might work well with turbines. I use silver oil in my engine and it has the following benefits:

1. The engine runs very soft (low decibel) on idle
2. It has a little more power
3. The car has a little better mpg
4. The change is only every 12,000 miles
5. The wear and tear on the motor is supposed to be only about 1/6 of the regular type of oil.

Did I miss something in this article, or, was there no mention of synthetic lubricants?
There are many olefin-based lubs that after 30-40 years have demonstrated their superior qualities to any crude-based oils.
Why aren't they being considered???
