Photon Energy Completes 2.66-MW of PV Systems in Czech Republic

For each project, Photon Engineering s.r.o., the engineering and general contracting division of Photon Energy, was the EPC contractor while Photon Management s.r.o., the group’s O&M division, will provide operating services.

The projects include three utility-scale solar power plants and one rooftop installation.

The 1.02-MW Sychrov project was built on a hilltop with up to 8 degree slopes. Construction on the project began in August and the project was connected to the ÈEZ Distribuce grid on December 21. The plant was built with Gloria Solar polycrystalline modules, SMA 11000TL string inverters and Schletter support structures. The project debt was provided by Volksbank CZ.

The Mostkovice PV plant was an internally developed project and was built in an industrial compound on flat ground and thus was the least challenging of the three greenfield sites. The connection of this 795-kilowatt (kW) plant to the E.ON Distribuce grid took place on 23 December. Photon Engineering installed Yingli Green Energy polycrystalline modules, SMA 11000TL string inverters and EkoSolar support structures. The project debt was provided by Raiffeisen - Leasing Real Estate s.r.o.

The Záhoøany PV plant was built on a slope in this Northern Bohemian location. The plant’s installed capacity is 758 kW and it was connected to the ÈEZ Distribuce grid on 23 December. Photon Engineering installed Gloria polycrystalline modules, SMA 11000TL string inverters and Conergy support structures. The project debt was provided by Raiffeisen - Leasing Real Estate s.r.o.

Finally, the company installed a 76-kW flat rooftop installation in Prague 5. This installation will serve as a great reference for Photon Engineering’s ability to complete high-quality rooftop installations, the company said. Photon Engineering installed Gloria polycrystalline modules and SMA 11000TL string inverters.
