It is a laudable initiate with clearly demarcated actionable points as well as timelines for monitoring, review and mid course correction in the strategy. For this manifested intent to be actualized, policy & institutional framework, fiscal mechanism, plans, programmes and projects need to be fine tuned. This is one of the bold action towards mainstreaming renewables in Indian context. Unlike the performance of off grid solar applications that have delivered the desired outputs but there is lot of unfullfilled aspirations of outcomes. Hoping that 'Solar India' will deliver both on output as well as outcome front.

"National Action Plan on Climate Change" what a joke. Why not have a commission to reduce the flattening on the earth.

A for effort on going renewable, D for motiviation.

No doubt, this is very ambitious and we would like to hope
that it succeeds. Just a word of caution to the funding agencies
like MNRE of Indian government that funding is given to those who are actually working in the Solar energy related areas INSTEAD of those who just talk big. I remember a similar surge and big talk about 20 years back when High Tc materials research money was all grabbed by those who talked big with unrealistic false promises. Finally nothing happened to all those promises except some publications and Materials Science Society medals to select few.. Hope same is not repeated on Solar energy hysteria.
