Amonix Expands HCPV Manufacturing Capacity to 30 MW

California, United States [RenewableEnergyWorld.com]

Utility-scale high concentration photovoltaic (HCPV) systems manufacturer Amonix Inc. announced this week the expansion of its Seal Beach California facility manufacturing capacity.

Coinciding with Amonix's dedication of the expanded Seal Beach production capacity, the company is also celebrating 20 years of developing, manufacturing and deploying its HCPV technology.

The facility at Seal Beach currently manufactures the company’s Amonix 7700 Solar Power Generator, including its MegaModules, which incorporate the industry’s highest efficiency multijunction solar cells, says the company. By automating the MegaModule assembly process with robotics, the company now has 30MW of annual manufacturing capacity.

The company says that its automated assembly process is replicable and will serve as the model for the company’s future manufacturing facilities.

Coinciding with Amonix’s dedication of the expanded Seal Beach production capacity, the company is also celebrating 20 years of developing, manufacturing and deploying its HCPV technology.
