Acciona Completes Australian Wind Project

Sarriguren, Spain [RenewableEnergyWorld.com] Spanish wind development company Acciona has completed the commissioning of its biggest windpark in Australia.
The project: "represents a highly important milestone for Acciona, the region of Waubra and the renewables sector in Australia."

Located in the state of Victoria, the Waubra wind farm has a capacity of 192 MW and represents an investment of A$450 million (€270 million). The project consists of 128 Acciona Windpower AW-1500 wind turbines of 1.5 MW each. Brett Thomas, Acciona’s director for the Asia-Pacific area, has declared that the start-up of the project: "represents a highly important milestone for Acciona, the region of Waubra and the renewables sector in Australia."
