Catch the Wind & Gamesa Launch R&D Project

Virginia, United States [RenewableEnergyWorld.com] Catch the Wind Ltd. has signed a research and development agreement with Gamesa. The two companies have mutually agreed to determine the feasibility of using a Vindicator LWS unit mounted on an operating Gamesa G8X 2-megawatt turbine.
The testing will take place on a commercial wind farm using Gamesa turbines located in the U.S., the location of which is still to be determined.
As part of project, the companies will collect and asses data on the products's forward wind measurement functionalities. "Working closely with one of the world's leading turbine manufacturers will allow us to develop a stronger understanding of all facets of the wind energy market."
