With G.E.'s stock in the tank and their CEO getting regularly trashed in the media as bringing the company nigh well near bankruptcy, I wonder where the cash is coming from for them to buy ScanWind...?? Do I smell TARP funds here, maybe ? If my tax bucks are being used to prop up a private company and make them more competitive in the marketplace for sales of wind turbines, then I'd sure like to see some of the dividends from those sales. That might make up for several years of holding G.E. stock, hoping their G.E. Energy division would be paying good dividends. Instead, there were NO dividends and the price of the stock plummeted. Thanks for the great management !!

GE has not accepted any TARP funds, as far as their stock being in the "tank", frankly whose stock isn't in the "tank"? Looking towards the future seems to be one of the main thrusts of GE's business plan. Seeing their stock rise from a low of just over $7.06 and now climbing into $14.30 range as of today,we all would do well to understand GE's direction. Providing substantial capital infusion into Morphic Technologies, along with over a century of experience in generators, gas turbines, diesel engines, reduction gears, power regulation and control systems, they seem to be moving into the 21st century smartly. GE has for over three years been working on a Hybrid Locomotive, I saw it in Los Angeles, they are heading up Hybrid powertrains for the trucking industry. Soundl like you invested in GE in October 2007, when they were selling for $41.00 per share, most certainly you have a long road ahead to recover from your loss. All I can say is "buy GE NOW!!" and understand they are moving forward into alternative energy.
