Energy can be as good or better than money and this is evident from the domestic turn in Asian PV. Profits can be made from production and sales within Asian nations just as with exports and with the downturn of the economy adversely affection US and European orders, the opportunity has now arisen. A domestic strengthening should be the result with PV continuing to be healthy and growing, despite "hard times". The essential need for energy should continue to fuel its growth and also to present the opportunity of lowering costs of manufacturing, especially for the big and hungry fellows.

Actually, as I see it, "hard times" are based just as much or sometimes even more upon the lack of energy rather than the lack of money. The amount of money in the entire world has not been affected by the downturn in the economy but rather the manner in which the funds are moving.

Large Asian companies should have plenty of resource capital and they want to move that capital in the right direction so as to return good profit. It makes sense that if PV panels can be profitably sold abroad, there is no reason home markets cannot be produce similar results. The side effect should be the uplifting of the domestic economy, improvement of clean energy production at central and distributed sources, and the further involvement of people within that country participating in the movement toward clean energy sources since they will be using them increasingly as they become more readily available.

Fine Times

Fine times, for Asian markets,
Growing PV domestically,
Raising up the standard of living,
For all to praise and see.

PV modules on the roof tops,
In great numbers working from the sun,
Present to the Asian solar industry,
The chance to make profits run.
