Interesting that they are doing many flavors of PV, even compressed air, but no solar thermal! AZ has vast, unused desert land, but no plans to use that for solar thermal power. Solar thermal does not have the environmental impact that comes with the making of silicon for PV.

The new MicroCSP technology also allows thermal energy from the sun to be used in industrial processes, air conditioning, crop drying and a million other uses.

Anyway, I like the idea of Solar Thermal and if we are going to build an institute for solar energy, we simply cannot ignore the 800 pound gorilla in the room. We have to include thermal.

I agree solar thermal needs more attention. Who is making micro CSP equipmlent or is it at the R&D stage?
