Note for the marketing people of this company:
The main meaning of the word "forged" is nowadays "fake".

It is good that the rest of the world is making renewable-energy products, however America needs to make products - all kinds of products. Buy American needs to be posted everywhere, regardless of what other countries think of it. One really big reason for onr economic crisis now is that we lost most of our manufacturing base. It is time to get it back.

Buying american produces, when you can find them, may be a bit more expensive at first, but think of the ultimate cost of imports, like the balance-of-payments, the cost of supporting those put put of work by the loss of manufacturing and the ancillary businesses that supported our manufacturing base.

Most of the parts of a wind turbine do not lend themselves to oceanic transit as they are simply too large, the gear boxes and generators would be the exception. I believe that you can count on our business men here to look after quarterly profits instead of long term results in investments to once again ship jobs to China.

To be successful in this global economy, first you have to be competitive. I f you resort to protectionism you are just throwing in the towel and admitting defeat. The challenge is to use all your available resources to be competitive, and to remain competitive as technology advances. In the long term, you just can't be successful any other way.

To fully develop RE in a country, not only back up by strong energy policy, but also count on advanced technology progress. I think the US has great potential for both of them.
