Is there any legislation on the books that will change PG&E's policy about paying the customer for the energy put back into the grid?

Isn't there suppose to be a federal regulation introduced to determine net metering nationwide to make it uniform and stop allowing power companies from ripping off consumers who install electric energy systems in their homes?

This is a great compilation of what CAL-SEIA and particularly Sue Kateley is doing for the members. Keep up the good work!
Anyone who is associated with solar in California will see benefits from joining CAL-SEIA.

it is no secret that Germany has already done all the legwork on the FITs and how they will work and how they won't. they basically got no participation until the rate went to 65 cents in 2004 and that's what we need in CA, especially since you want to remove all other incentives like CSI.

we cannot waste any more time on RPS, CSI, cheapo FITs and other failed programs. if we don't ramp up rootop solar NOW, millions of acres of our wilderness will be permanently slaughtered to build massive, industrial Solar and Wind, and toxic, GHG-spewing powerlines that will be used to rip us off and poison us. we are just so sick of that 19th century model, and it is high time we get a REAL solution, like point of use solar.

i can mobilize thousands of like-minded people to support you, but we require the following:

1. no caps on system sizes for ratepayer-generators (other than the 20 MW cap)

2. 65 cents/kwh

3. AB 811 funding on a massive scale.

these should all be easy to accomplish because we will be offsetting extremely expensive infrastructure, producing super-high-value peaker power, hitting their RPS and selling them RECs.

bondholders or other investors in AB 811 will get guaranteed, risk free returns (unlike anwhere else). we'll have no dead wilderness, a few million happy ratepayer generators, tens of million happy ratepayer non-generators, no increased GHGs from powerlines and Industrial Wind and Solar plants, no wasted water, no dead species, more jobs, improved property values, no eminent domain. need i go on?

so, hit those 3 easy targets, SOON, and we can get thousands of people mobilized quickly, and a lot of press. we can make this work, but if you are planning to cheap out like the CPUC has been doing, we will do everything we can to defeat you. please, let's work together!
