Plans for First CSP Plant in Asia

Taipei, Taiwan [RenewableEnergyWorld.com] Yee Fong Chemical and Everphoton have announced plans to set up the first Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) plant power plant in Asia. The first phase of 200 kilowatts will be completed at the beginning of 2009 and will be located at southern Taiwan.
We are now planning to launch a 1-MW [CSP] power plant in Taiwan and it will also be the first one in Asia to demonstrate our high quality system.

Everphoton has indicated that it will use solar cells from three suppliers for its solar power plant project. The 1-megawatt (MW) project is due to begin construction by the end of 2008 and will be based on Everphoton CSP technology of high-efficiency modules, high concentration Fresnel lens, sensors & controller, and tracker.
