Perhaps GM and Ford motor companies could modify some of their recently shut-down factories to produce wind turbines or wind turbine parts. There is not much demand for gas guzzlers and since these companies say that it is difficult for them to manufacture highly fuel efficient vehicles, they might think of switching from the production of transport vehicles to energy generating devices such as wind or free current turbines.

It is unlikely that such an event woud happen in the near future because the people who run GM and Ford seem to be fixated only on profit. The do not seem interested in building up our nation by manufacturing what is needed.

perhaps Adrian should be forgiven for faulting businesses being "fixated on profit"-he may well be a product of Rococo Marxist professors flourishing in American universities. and "building up our nation by manufacturing what is needed... why not a new Five Year Plan, why not a Great Leap Forward!
