Gee, I guess the half dozen or so huge machines on Lake Erie in Buffalo aren't big enough, eh?

Here's a link to the University of Buffalo's site describing Buffalo's wind turbines: http://wings.buffalo.edu/ubgreen/energyforthefuture/technologies/wind.htm

Ok, I know this is late but where is the world do you get the 1GWh of annual power generation for the Toronto wind turbine? The turbine is estimated to put out 1.4 million KWh a year. This assumes the turbine runs at 25% of capacity. So even if the turbine were running 24/7 at 100% capacity it will only put out 5.8 million MWh.

So get real, this single turbine is not outputting 1GWh of power annually.

My source is the Government of Canada:

I trust this article way more than yours.

Ack... change 5.8 million MWh to 5.8 million KWh. Sorry about the type above.

1 million KW is the same as 1GW.
