China Holdings Announces Biomass Projects Updates

Bejing, China [RenewableEnergyWorld.com] China Holdings, Inc. has announced that developments at the company's TaiHu and Ongniute Biomass plants has been completed. China Holdings has completed the fuel analysis and feasibility study for its 50-megawatt (MW) TaiHu Biomass plant and the fuel analysis for its 50-MW Ongniute Biomass plant.
The company is planning to move forward with plans to lease 32,123 acres of land as the fuel supply reserve base of the power plant. The company also confirmed that its projects, operations and development were not adversely affected by the recent earthquake in Sichuan province of China.

Taihu County, rich in biomass resources, is the commodity grain base county in China. Taihu County has rice cultivation area of 83,274 acres, with an annual output of 255,000 tons of rice straw, cotton cultivation area of 8,154 acres with an annual output of 156,000 tons of cotton stalk, wheat cultivation area of 14,085 acres, with an annual output of 26,000 tons of wheat straw, and rapeseed cultivation area of 33,853 acres, with an annual output of 306,000 tons of rapeseed stalk.
