Oklahoma, United States [RenewableEnergyWorld.com] The State of Oklahoma has secured land for one of the world's largest stands of switchgrass that will be devoted to cellulosic ethanol production. Planting will take place within the next 45 days.
"Rising food costs recently resulted in a pushback against renewable fuels. However, cellulosic ethanol from sources like switchgrass and sorghum are non-competitive with food sources for animals and humans and remove cellulosic ethanol from this discussion."
-- David Fleischaker, Oklahoma Secretary of Energy
The Oklahoma Bioenergy Center (OBC), a state-initiative championed by Gov. Brad Henry, secured land to enable the planting of more than 1,100 acres of production-scale demonstration fields for cellulosic energy crops, such as switchgrass and sorghum to contribute to the United States' bioenergy effort.

No land diverted from food production, so should be no complaints. Water 80% of what goes in is water, can easily be made pure enough to drink, either for humans or animals.
What goes into AD is organic, it takes AD plant after it warms up less than two hours to produce methane gas. The human body is a small scale AD system, the designer has designs for AD plants, from 1 Tonne upto 10,000 Tonne per day. Due to rise in oil prices payback should be less than ONE YEAR.

Had to attend a 17th Edition Regulations Course last night for Institute Electrical Engineers. But the one I am most proud of is that COMP"EX" that says I am a competent person to work with Hazardous Products, any gas from Methane to Butane or Propane. I think you might agree, do not want the gas to go bang.
Have to go as meeting takes place around 11.00
