As SOFC prices come down, it will be interesting to see how they fit into this picture. The output of this plant could increase significantly just by swapping out the generators for SOFCs. There could also be come cogeneration opportunities too.

Ron,

The only problem (the concept is perfect) is the scale. These projects are so small they don't attract big players. Since they must be financed locally that cuts some projects that would normally make sense.

One can only hope more municipalities can see, and afford, these types of efforts (meaning the ones you include - sewage and animal).

Thanks for the story.This is big time, and another wave of the future. This technology should be mandated for all sewage plants, and for large livestock and dairy producers.
