First Solar Acquires Turner Renewable Energy

Phoenix, Arizona [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] First Solar, Inc announced that it has acquired Turner Renewable Energy, LLC for a purchase price of approximately $34.3 million paid in a combination of common stock of First Solar, Inc. as well as cash. The company will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of First Solar, Inc. under the name First Solar Electric, LLC.

Turner Renewable Energy, LLC has operated under the name DT Solar, a Turner Renewable Energy Company, since January 2007 when entrepreneur and philanthropist Ted Turner invested in the company.

DT Solar has designed and deployed commercial solar projects for utilities and Fortune 500 companies in the U.S. since 2004. The acquisition brings to First Solar experience in the development of independent power projects, marketing of energy, and operation of commercial power plants in the United States.

I would like to let the Turner Renewable Energy company know about existing ISO 14064-2 Certified Renewable technology that reduces green house gas emissions, restores clean water, and produces up to 500 mega watts of clean energy from the use of renewable resources as it's surrogate fuel.
One of the greatest legacies we can leave our children is clean water and clean air, at what point of saturated air and water quality levels not fit for humans do we implement remediation technology that restores our Natural resources.

The American Renewable Energy Advocates Society (AREAS) would like to congratulate the acquisition of Turner Renewable Energy, LLC to First Solar, Inc. This will be a beautiful relationship and excellent opportunity for Mr. Turner to expand his legacy and bring attention to the Renewable Energy Industry.

AREAS is advocating for solutions in its communities by supporting energy education and encouraging the implementation of energy efficiency and renewable technologies. According to the vision statement on the AREAS website, AREAS believes this solution will move us toward a world "liberated by clean, renewable, energy that is not a danger for our children or their children."
