15.000 miles of transmission lines in 23 years?

We had better get going. We have waited 3 years to run 10 miles in my county.

My Superturbine technology can easily meet 20% by 2020. We can do utility-scale wind for a fraction of the cost.

I agree with you 100% F. Berry. It is about time we realize producing cars that consume gasoline from imported oil is not in our best interest, and that producing much simpler cars that consume locally generated electrical energy from wind power is in our best interest.

We're probably going to see many auto workers move into the field of renewables in the next 10 years for obvious reasons; they work hard, they have technical skills that can transpose into production, and they're work hardened.
Lets face it, someone who can work in that environment year after year, should be given the chance to reinvent "what production" jobs are sexy and decent paying jobs in America. Let the engineers do the CAD drawings and sit at "round tables", but lets get the real work done with people who would hit the floor running. This should now be seen as a war effort; because it is.

Civilization will die if it doesn't build a massive RENEWABLE ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE! The REI will cost about $5 per day per person for 30 years assuming a wind only pure electric mobility. The math includes about 7 million 1Mw turbines at 1.5 million apiece and does not account for profits reinvested by investers.

I'm hoping it can be done for less than $100 per household per month...
