NaiKun, ENMAX Sign PSA for 320 MW Offshore Wind Project

In March of this year, NaiKun and ENMAX entered into an agreement to work together in strategic areas of development for the first phase. The PSA signed earlier this week describes in detail the resources that ENMAX is committing to the project and the ways in which ENMAX can contribute to ensuring the wind farm is designed and built to achieve optimal results.

"Our partnership with ENMAX is progressing well and we are pleased to have a formal professional services agreement in place," said NaiKun Wind Development President and CEO, Ray Castelli. "NaiKun will be able to draw on ENMAX's expertise in building energy projects, and particularly its work on wind farms."

ENMAX has wind energy assets in Alberta and the Calgary-based utility also owns generation assets in British Columbia, and has a substantial transmission background in the province.

"ENMAX's experience securing electricity purchase agreements will be very beneficial to NaiKun as we prepare to participate in BC Hydro's upcoming Call for Power," Castelli said.
