If the US installs 3000 MW of wind power capacity in 2007 and Texas accounts for two-thirds, that leaves only 1000 MW outside of Texas.  Since wind has a capacity factor of only about 30%, this represents the equivalent of about 300 MW or one tiny coal plant.  And wind is touted as America's leading form of renewable energy?  Obviously the country is not serious about clean energy.
