SeaGen is four times as powerful as the world's previous most powerful turbine, SeaFlow, which Marine Current Turbines has been operating off Lynmouth in Devon since 2003.

<p>I hope there will be good news coverage of this historic event. It may not be the first underwater turbine installed but will be the most powerful and will be looked upon as the for-runner of ocean current energy harvesting. I am sure that the people in that area&nbsp;as well as in other parts of the world&nbsp;will be most interested in knowing whether or not the system will really work as designed. </p><p>adrianakau2aol.com</p>
