Suntech and BASS Electric to Supply Solar Modules to SFIA

Using Suntech's products, we will be able to deliver San Francisco International Airport with a highly reliable, cost effective and clean source of energy."'

The 450-kilowatt (kW) system will cover the approximate area of a football field and will be visible to the public from the SFIA Air Train. The system will also be integrated with a new roof membrane further protecting the building by blocking UV exposure and reducing heating of the roof.

In August of 2006, Suntech established a wholly owned subsidiary, Suntech America, with a mandate to increase public awareness of solar power in North America.
